
Ana Félix, M.D. PhD is Associate Professor of Anatomic Pathology at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, NOVA University.
She graduated in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon (UL) in 1988 and received her doctorate in Medicine (Pathology), in 2003 from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
Currently, she is the Coordinator of the Doctoral Programme in Medicine and Life Sciences, and of the Committee of PhD Student Evaluation (activities reports, research projects) at FCM – UNL.
She belongs as Principal Investigator to the Center for the Study of Chronic Diseases (CEDOC) and to the Associate Laboratory of Oeiras.
In parallel to the academic career, she also has clinical activity. Ana Félix is a Senior Consultant in Pathology, since 2003, in the Portuguese Institute of Oncology Francisco Gentil, in Lisbon.
She has several publications in international journals and collaborates as peer reviewer in Pathology journals. Presented several papers in oral communications and posters in international meetings, having received several awards for scientific merit and scholarships.
She devotes a particular attention to the gynecological pathology. Within this context has been invited as lecturer and as organizer both in national and international events and congresses. She also collaborates in the development of therapeutic protocols and as a specialist in international studies.
