Projeto de capacitação University Development and Innovation – Africa

The kickoff meeting of the capacity building project University Development and Innovation – Africa (UDI-A) takes place at the Rectorate of NOVA on 2 and 3 November.

This project, coordinated by NOVA, has received one million Euros of funding from the  European Union’s Erasmus+ Programme, Key Activity 2: Capacity Building in Higher Education.

The UDI-A project aims to promote the capacity of African partner universities to respond to social and economic challenges in their regions and further contribute to fostering local development in a sustainable and inclusive manner. Moreover, it also intends to improve European Universities’ knowledge on Africa and the processes of establishing academic partnerships with African universities.

Over the next two years, NOVA will be working with several partners - traditional universities and educational organizations from Europe and Africa, two networks and a NGO:

King's College London (United Kingdom);
Universite Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium);
Universiteit Maastricht (Netherlands);
Universidade Agostinho Neto (Angola);
Universidade Eduardo Mondlane (Mozambique);
Universidade Katyavala Bwila (Angola);
Universidade de Lúrio (Mozambique);
Instituto de Empreendedorismo Social (Portugal);
EFMD - The Management Development Network (EFMD);
Reseau des Universites des Capitales de L'europe (UNICA);
Fundação Girl Move - Associated Partner (Mozambique).
