For the fifth consecutive year, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa is the sole Portuguese University ranked in the QS Top 50 under 50 ranking.
In the 2018 edition of this ranking – one of the most important for world-class universities with less than 50 years – NOVA is ranked 41st, having improved its overall score relatively to the previous year.
This ranking is based on the results of the renowned QS World University Rankings, recently published, where NOVA improved its position in comparison with last year’s edition, leading at the national level in the internationalization of faculty, which confirms the capacity to attract faculty and researchers at global level, and also in the Faculty/Student indicator, scored 76% above the national average thus signaling the long term commitment with high teaching quality.
“These results confirm, for the fifth consecutive year, the quality increasingly associated with NOVA despite its youth and in its various dimensions, either by the academic and the job market communities in Portugal and abroad.” comments the Rector of NOVA, Professor António Rendas, considering the improvement in the academic reputation and employer reputation criteria in this year’s ranking.
