National Access Competition - NOVA leads in 14 programmes at national level and 24 in Lisbon

 

 

The results of the first phase of the national competition for access to public higher education 2018/2019 show that NOVA University Lisbon has placed 2,581 students and has only two places left for the second phase, which means that it occupied 99.9% of the available places. This is NOVA's best result ever.

 

 

NOVA leads, at the national level, in the following list of fourteen programmes in several areas:

Applied Chemistry, Communication Sciences, Language Sciences, Nutrition Sciences, Political Science and International Relations, Conservation and Restoration, Philosophy, Information Management, History, Mathematics, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Information Systems and Technologies, Sociology (after work schedule) and Translation.

When focusing on the region of Lisbon, NOVA has the highest entry score in in 60% of its programme offer, which adds to the list: Archeology; Biochemistry; Law; Economics; Civil Engineering; Geography and Regional Planning; Management; History of Art; Languages, Literatures and Cultures; Medicine; Sociology.

According to the Rector, Professor João Sàágua, these results "are very good overall, reinforcing the levels of success, credibility and reputation that characterize NOVA, so I congratulate all the Faculties of the NOVA University Lisbon." And in a welcome note to students: "We take full responsibility in supporting our new students in the process of building a successful future."
