NOVA University, with the support of the Campolide Council, has developed a requalification project for the Rua da Mesquita (Project 93) that was submitted to the Participatory Budgeting of the Municipality of Lisbon. The project intends to benefit the pedestrian and car circulation – by creating crosswalks, rearranging parking, widening the sidewalks and planting more trees - and turn this area into a public space for sharing and enjoying Lisbon. This project is the first step of a broader strategy that aims to open the NOVA University Campus in Campolide to the city, enhancing it as a center of education and research excellence, but also as a meeting place, with free access to sports and leisure infrastructures. The vote of all the community is important for this project to become a reality.
