Professors Elvira Fortunato and Rodrigo Martins, from NOVA's Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, are nominated for the "European Inventor Award" and are one of three finalists in the category "Research" of this prestigious European award.
The "European Inventor Award" is an internationally recognized and renowned innovation award given by the "European Patent Office" to recognized European and international inventors. The award ceremony takes place every year in a different city. This year the prize ceremony of this 11st edition will be in Lisbon on 9th June 2016.
Whilst the winners of the Award will be decided by an international jury, one of the 15 finalists will have the chance to take home the Popular Prize, which will be decided in an online poll voted for by the general public.
