The Economic Journalism Award is an annual initiative that aims to distinguish the best journalistic work published in Portugal in the areas of "Business Management", "Financial Markets" and "Corporate Sustainability".
All journalists who have published articles in the written and electronic media between 1st January and 31st December, 2012, in the mentioned areas, can participate. Pre-registrations are open until 13th March and the application is validated by sending the required documentation within five business days.
The best work competing in the three areas will be awarded the "Grande Prémio", worth 15.000€, and will also be the winner of the respective category. The other two prizes, of 7.500€ each, distinguish the best article competing in the other areas.
The Economic Journalism Award is a joint initiative of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa and Banco Santander Totta.
In this edition, the Award's President is the Rector of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, Professor António Bensabat Rendas, and the Vice-president is António Vieira Monteiro, Executive Chairman of Santander Totta.
