The General Council is the body of strategic decisions and supervision of NOVA University Lisbon.
The General Council consists of 27 members - 14 teaching staff and researchers, 4 students, 1 non-academic and non-research staff member and 8 external members of recognised merit with no connection to NOVA, and with relevant experience and knowledge, co-opted by the elected members.
