To enable students to make the most of the scientific environment of the alliance of European universities to which NOVA belongs, and to develop high-quality research projects with a global impact, doctoral research grants will be awarded to those who choose NOVA as their main institution. 

"Investing in women: accelerating progress" is this year's theme, which aims to highlight the difficulty of meeting the challenges of the 2030 Agenda given the lack of funding for measures to promote gender equality. 

The winners of the 24th edition of the "Trusted Brands" survey, which assesses the level of trust Portuguese people have in a range of everyday realities – brands, personalities, professions and institutions – have just been announced. Once again, Elvira Fortunato's name appears on this list.

Are you a NOVA undergraduate student, are you interested in climate issues, and do you want to represent the University at a meeting of the Alliance of European Universities of which we are a member? The next EUTOPIA Ideas Club, to be held in Venice next 23 April, will be dedicated to climate change and applications are open until 10 March. 

For four days, it was possible to present NOVA degrees and also SUPERNOVA, a unique programme in Portugal for pre-university students, designed to help students from different countries adapt to the European education system, and its SUMMER SCHOOL. 

The event, promoted by a wide range of academics and businessmen and the newspaper Público, will be attended by representatives of the various political parties with seats in parliament and will take place on 29 February at 11 am in the auditorium of the NOVA. 

In its 15th edition, the largest education fair in the country will once again have a very special stand, where you will be able to find the entire academic offer of NOVA University Lisboa. Come and visit us from the 20th to the 23rd of March: we will be right at the entrance of the FIL, in Lisbon. 

More than 80 undergraduate and masters students from all European universities involved in the EUTOPIA alliance will participate in the event organised by Babeș-Bolyai University, Romania. Find out how to take part here. 

A team from NOVA Institute for Medical Systems Biology (NIMSB) is already working at the Rectorate of NOVA University of Lisbon and intends to strengthen the collaboration between all the institution's organic units. NIMSB wants to attract top scientists in the areas of biomedical research and precision medicine.

For 3 days, NOVA shared the path it has taken, envisioned the future and received feedback from national and international experts. 

The SUPERNOVA Foundation Programme is a unique pre-university programme in Portugal, with an increasing number of candidates from all over the world.
