The marine resources biotechnology company Sea4Us has just been selected for funding of around 6 million euros.

NOVA University of Lisbon assumes presidency of SDSN Portugal, in search of innovative solutions to meet the Sustainable Development Goals 

The big winner is Professor Francisco Pereira Coutinho, from NOVA School of Law, and there are three other honourable mentions for Professors Leid Zejnilovic, from Nova SBE, and Ricardo Parreira and João Brás da Piedade, both from IHMT. 

On the 31st of October, NOVA University Lisbon welcomed a notable new member to its community, with the award of a Doctorate Honoris Causa to the singer, composer, writer, former Brazilian Minister of Culture and member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters, Gilberto Gil. 

"A unique day for NOVA", highlighted the Rector of the NOVA University Lisbon, João Sàágua. "A deep gratitude" thanked Gilberto Gil. The story of a very special award in the year in which NOVA University Lisbon celebrates its 50th anniversary. 

This is the second edition of the course, online and free, where the best professors of different schools of NOVA share basic entrepreneurship concepts and ask startup founders to tell about their experiences.

It is a digital assessment platform for teachers that focuses on improving the assessment process in schools.

The NOVA Science & Innovation Day dedicates the morning to science and the afternoon to innovation. An Innovation Fair will be taking place throughout the day.

From 9th to 11th October NOVA participated in the workshop and consortium meeting of the SQUARE project at the partner institution Tbilisi State Medical University in Tbilisi, Georgia.
