AIESEC Conference - Rectorate
On February 11th 2010 (11 a.m.), a conference on internationalization and the changing needs of employers, introduced by Professor José Ferreira Machado, DEean of NOVA’s Faculdade de Economia, will be taking place at the NOVA's Rectorate Auditorium.
With the presence of board members from companies such as Lars Kalfhaus, Roche CEO, Carla Gouveia, Banco Popular HR Senior Manager, Conceição Zagalo, IBM Marketing Senior Manager, Filipa Esteves, Páginas Amarelas HR Senior Manager, Nuno Netto, Daemon Quest CEO and Carlos Melo Heitor, Glasford CEO, an opened discussion on the current trends in the labour market and the features that are currently most valued by employers will take place.
This conference is organized by AIESEC, which main objective is to enable the exchange of young people through the international experience it offers, especially through its international internship programs. In a globalized world, students are increasingly feeling the need to value themselves near their employers whose needs are constantly in "change".
In the afternoon, we will have the opportunity to meet two young people who recently experienced an AIESEC international internship in Brazil and India. They will share their experience and express the impact that it had on them essentially at a personal level. Filipe Carrera, President of JCI Portugal, will also talk about the impact of an international career.
With the support of Team Dynamics, Beautiful Individuals, Jorge Lascas and SHL, the participants will have the opportunity to value themselves through workshops on "Effective Communication", "Body Language", "Marketing and Personal Coaching" and "Motivation", provided by the entities above mentioned.
You have the opportunity to get to meet the senior managers of the participating companies, which features are most valued by employers, and to add value to your education through the workshops.
