Conference Medieval colours: between beauty and meaning
The Department of Conservation-Restoration and the Department of Art History of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa are hosting a two-day conference dedicated to the study of colour in medieval manuscript illuminations, for a better knowledge, access and conservation of this centenary heritage.
The conference will focuses on all issues of medieval colour, namely the technical studies and the history of manuscript illuminations. An optional workshop on the practice of medieval illumination will be organized.
