Objectives
Having with starting point the acquired basic knowledge in hydraulical, chemical reactors and mass transference, the main of discipline is the acquisition of the beddings and the methodologies of conception of the systems of distribution and the beddings, principles of design and applications of unit operations and processes, essential to the water treatment for supplying.
Prerequisites
Do not have
Subject matter
General slight knowledge on systems of water supply: captation, pumping, storage and distribution. General aspects of the nets of distribution and beddings of the respective hydraulical calculation. Mains of quality for supplying water and conventional and alternative conception of the treatment systems and procedural projects. Beddings and predesign of the unit operations of chemical oxidation, coagulation-flocculation, sedimentation, granular filtration, separation with membranes and disinfection. Examples of treatment systems. Study of cases and visit of study to a water treatment plant (WTP).
