Objectives

The course describes the different computational techniques for image acquisition, representation and processing. Students are intended to learn about the different formats and their applications. The hypermedia mechanisms and their relation with the Internet and Web technologies will be analysed. Multimedia authoring process will be studied.

  • Identify the different computational techniques for image aquisition, representation and processing.
  • Undestand the hypermedia mechanisms.
  • Build multimedia nd hypermedia documents integrating images and other types of media.

  • Use tools for image edition and analysis.
  • Develop multimedia applications with visual language tools.

  • Undestand the whole process of image editing and analysis.
  • Ability to write a proposal for a multimedia project.
  • Ability to interact and specify requirements for the different participants in a multimedia project.
