Objectives
To discuss issues related to asset management, such as theoretical foundation, purpose, evaluation, and the main technologies in asset management, as well as to conduct simple practices of asset management.
Subject matter
This course offers a practical understanding of asset management. The course will begin with a review of modern portfolio theory, followed by detailed discussions of topics including portfolio selection and asset allocation, passive versus active investment strategies, tracking error measurement, fund rating, and performance attribution.
