Objectives

The main purpose of Business Intelligence I course is to make students understand the capabilities of decision support processes enhanced by the use of Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse Support, and get to know the current information technologies and methodologies to develop solutions Business Intelligence at our disposal.At the end of the course, students should be able to:

  • Understanding the process of BI and the factors that contribute to maximize the business value
  • Know the main business applications of Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse
  • Identify the key indicators of analytical applications in the enterprise context
  • Know the main approaches to building data warehouses
  • Understanding the relationship between Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
  • Understanding the role of analytical applications, monitoring the performance of organizations and visualization tools
  • Knowing the components of the infrastructure of the Business Intelligence - people, processes and technologies
