Education objectives
The Master (MHPS) provides knowledge and skills for participants in the following areas:
1. Basic elements of Public Mental Health including Mental Health of the Populations and Epidemiology of Mental Disorders
2. Basic elements of Research Methods and Statistics
3. Principles of Mental Health Policy and Plans formulation
4. Principles of Mental Health Legislation and Human Rights
5. Principles of Mental Health Services and Care Delivery organization
6. Basic elements of Mental Health Service Research
7. Information on world- wide models and experiences of Mental Health Policy and Service Organization (from high, middle
and low-income countries)
8. Information on global mental health issues
Degree pre-requisites
Students who pass all curricular units of the two first semesters but do not wish to attend the following semesters will be awarded a Post Graduation Course Diploma (60 ECTS).
The students who pass both the curricular units and the dissertation/project/traineeship report are awarded a Diploma (Master Degree) (120 ECTS).
