Education objectives
- To contribute to an adequate and qualified intervention on problems related to ageing issues, by building specific capacities and skills;
- To develop skills that enable students to identify needs, find solutions, diagnose risk situations, and organize and plan intervention actions;
- To contribute to the development of multidisciplinary knowledge, that can be applied in innovative and creative solution of new problems emerging from aging;
- To develop skills of analysis and assessment of problematic situations that occur throughout the aging process;
- To acquire knowledge and skills that actively contribute to reduce the adverse impacts of ageing through an early intervention for disease prevention and health promotion;
- And also to train technicians that are competent and able to intervene at the organizational level of performance in emerging areas related to social care and health.
Degree pre-requisites
To complete 60 ECTS of the course work and 40 ECTS of the thesis.
