Objectives

This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to design and implement a data warehouse. Students are expected to become familiar with (1) requirements gathering for data warehousing, (2) data warehouse architecture, (3) dimensional model design for data warehousing, (4) physical database design for data warehousing, (4) extracting, transforming, and loading strategies, (5) introduction to business intelligence, and (6) design and development of business intelligence applications, expansion and support of a data warehouse.
