a) To be able to recognize the importance of the knowledge about natural resources in land management;
b) To understand the distribution of natural resources at different scales;
c) To understand the relationship between natural resources and levels of economic growth and development;
d) To be able to evaluate the effects of management and use of endogenous natural resources;
e) To analyse the positive and negative effects of using different types of natural resources;
f) To be able to develop and apply the knowledge acquired for diagnosis of potential of natural resources at different scales;
g) To know to interpret critically and analytical texts and data.

1) Introduction to the concepts of renewable and non-renewable resources
2) The different types of natural resources and their spatial distribution
3) Causes and consequences of the use of resources
4) The genesis of global environmental problems: Climate change and desertification
5) The role of the geographer in the diagnosis of endogenous potential of the territories
6) The sustainable use of natural resources
7) Future perspectives
