a) To recognize the need and importance of environmental impact studies on land management;
b) To understand the nature and characteristics of the processes and decisions related with the environment;
c) To discuss the theories and methodologies in environmental impact assessment;
d) To analyze the importance of natural processes and the influence of human activity in its dynamics;
e) To develop critical thinking on political models and socio-economic use of natural resources;
f) To apply the acquired knowledge to concrete situations analysis, particularly with the use of Geographic Information Systems.

3) Sector Impacts; land use, water, landscape, among others
4) Applicable legislation
5) The importance of a geographical approach in the analyse of environmental impacts

Expositive and participative classes.

Evaluation method

Reading of thematic texts.
Research work based on field work, references and document research resulting from autonomous work (100% evaluation).
Oral presentation of the work.
