Objectives

a) Mastering the theoretical and methodological foundations of the relationship between population and sustainable territorial development;
b) Assess the importance of population as an endogenous resource for development and territory identity;
c) Scientific and technical ability to detect competitiveness demographic constraints of the territories;
d) Understand the importance of population involvement in territorial management processes;
e) Review the documentation on diagnosis and prospective analysis of the population in the areas of development and spatial planning;
f) Apply methods and techniques of analysis and diagnosis of population dynamics, according to the objectives of territorial management tools;
g) Choose and apply appropriate methods for projections of population dynamics and structures in the planning of mobility, physical and social infrastructures and economic activities in accordance with the objectives of spatial master plans at the various geographical scales.

6) The demographic conditions on developing human capital and competitiveness of the territories
7) The role of human capital development and spatial planning
8) The public involvement in planning and land management: participatory diagnosis, stakeholder analysis and other participatory methods
9) Methodology for the development of socio-demographic studies as part of development and territorial planning instruments
10) Population projections: application in the planning of mobility, infrastructure, economic activities and equipment programming.

Written test [50%];
The writing of an individual research paper (15-20 pages), presentation and discussion.
