FCT researchers develop new DNA detector

Portuguese researchers have created an innovative method of DNA detection using a common inkjet printer, using low-cost and environmental-friendly technology and materials.

The new sensor, developed by a joint research team from the Life Sciences and Materials departments from the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, was accepted for publication in the Biosensors and Bioelectronics journal. Professor Elvira Fortunato is in charge of this project.
