Elvira Fortunato distinguished by Rotary International and APMP

The District 1960 of the Rotary International will award Elvira Fortunato the Prémio Rotary Investigação-Tecnologia do Ano Rotário de 2008-2009.

An award that the organization justifies with the “excellence of her Action, her Motivation, her Professionalism and her committed Leadership in the congregation of Ideas, Projects and Teams”.

The Award Delivery Ceremony of the Rotary Awards 2008-2009 will take place on the 7th of June, at the Cine-Teatro Municipal João Mota, Sesimbra.

The Rotary International was formed in 1905 in Chicago. It is a centenary movement of Professional Leaders that provide social and humanitarian services, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. This activity is developed in Portugal since 1926.

Elvira Fortunato will also be distinguished with the Prémio Personalidade attributed by the Association for the Promotion of Multimedia and Digital Society (APMP).

The Prémio Personalidade, the only one attributed though nomination, distinguish a personality that has distinguished herself in the year 2008 for their excellence and innovation in the areas of Information and Communication Technologies.

This is the 4th edition of the APMP Awards, that aim to promote works from professionals and companies of the multimedia sector, in the following categories: Tecnologias de Comunicação; Informação e Divulgação; Educação e Cultura; Entretenimento; Comércio Electrónico; Prémio Sony Escolas em HD.

The award ceremony will take place on the 25th of June, at the Auditorium of the Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações.
