Young cientist of the Faculdade de Ciências Médicas awarded Medalha de Honra L'Óreal

Professor Sílvia Conde, of the Departmento de Farmacologia was one of the 3 researchers distinguished on the 23rd November with the Medalha de Honra L’Oréal Portugal for Women in Science.

The event took place at the Academia das Ciências de Lisboa and had the presence of Maria Cavaco Silva as well as representatives from the Ministery of Science, Technology and Higher Education and the three entities that, for the last six years, promote the L’Oreal Portugal for Women in Science National Fellowships: L’Oreal Portugal, Portuguese National Commission for UNESCO and the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology.

The members of the scientific jury were also present: Alexandre Quintanilha, President of the Jury, Professor Cecília Arraiano, Professor Cláudia Pereira, Professor Helena Freitas, Professor Joana Palha, Professor Fernando Lopes da Silva and Professor Rui Pereira.
