Prémio Nuno Castelo Branco for FCM Researchers

Research team from the departments of Physiopathology and Pharmacology of the Faculdade de Ciências Médicas wins National Research Award

The team constituted by Maria Pedro Guarino, Tiago Silva, Miguel Mota-Carmo, Emília C. Monteiro and Sílvia Vilares Conde won the Prémio Nuno Castelo Branco, Sociedade Portuguesa de Diabetologia/ Lilly Portugal 2009, worth 10.000 € with the work “Efeitos da ingestão aguda e crónica de cafeína na sensibilidade à insulina”. This award aims to finance the best research work in the area of diabetes, and was attributed for the first time in 2009.
