
FCT and FE researchers awarded with the Prémio Santander Totta / UNL
The Prémio de Mérito Científico Santander Totta – Universidade Nova de Lisboa, in this 2nd edition dedicated to Social Sciences and Humanities, has distinguished Duarte Brito, of Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia and João Vareda, of Faculdade de Economia. Pedro Pereira, senior economist at the Autoridade da Concorrência (Competition Authority) is also a member of the research team. The winning project, entitled “The Economics and Regulation of Next Generation Networks”, aims to study several aspects of the regulation of Next Generation Networks in a common framework.
This is the second edition of the Award, established within the context of the agreement signed between Santander Totta and UNL three years ago, that aims to distinguish research projects developed by young PhD researchers and promoting collaborations within UNL. The award is worth 25.000€ and the Award Delivery Ceremony was held on the 12th of February, at 12.30h, at the Rectorate of Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
