II NOVA's Photography Contest

The inauguration of the exhibition “II NOVA's Photography Contest” took place on the 27th of May, at 6p.m., at the Rectorate of NOVA.

The second edition of this contest, organized by the Culture Office of the Social Welfare Services of Universidade Nova de Lisboa (SASNOVA), and open to all students from NOVA, from the 1st to the 3rd cycle, including Erasmus and other mobility programmes students, was held during the month of April.

In this edition participated 114 students, with a total of 329 jobs, with prizes sponsored by Caixa Geral de Depósitos. The competition jury was composed by professional photographer, António Sachetti, the winner of the first edition of the contest, João André Farinha, by the Administrator of SASNOVA, Teresa Lemos and a representative from the Culture Office, João Carreiras.

The award winning works and other selected works will be exhibited at the Rectorate of NOVA, Campolide Campus, between 28th of May and the 15th of June.

Winners:
1st prize (worth 500€), Manuel Pina – “Zadar”
2nd prize (worth 300€), César Rodrigues – “Em trânsito – Distância”
3rd prize  (no valor de 150€), Andreia Araújo – “Nos olhos de uma criança"
