NOVA's Day - 2 November
Universidade NOVA de Lisboa signaled its 38th anniversary on November 2nd.
The President of Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos (FFMS), António Barreto, was the guest speaker with a presentation on “As Universidades: o que esperamos e o que precisamos”. The ceremony also included the speech of NOVA´s Rector, António Rendas, and NOVA's General Council President, Eduardo Arantes e Oliveira.
At the ceremony the new PhDs received their insignia and the researchers that won the Prémio de Mérito Científico Santander Totta/NOVA, academic merit students and students who stood out in the areas of entrepreneurship, sports and photography also received diplomas of the University.
A representative of the Students' Council also gave a speech as well as NOVA's alumni, journalist Ricardo Costa.
