NOVA Nanofabrication Lab

The first Nanofabrication Lab in Portugal will open its doors in NOVA, on Monday, Feb 28th, at the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia (FCT). The opening ceremony, at 11am in the Caparica campus, will be attended by the President, Cavaco Silva.

This pioneering laboratory provides significant developments in the field of nanotechonology, aiming to enhance the material proprieties at nano-scale and the development of new materials and products, including electronic devises at nano-scale.

NOVA is the first University in Portugal, equipped with this technology, obtained through competitive funds, with a strong effort in the field of transparent and paper electronics, and whose research team is internationally recognized and relevant research projects, namely with the industry. T

he installation of NOVA Nanofabrication Laboratory results from the Advanced Grants of the European Research Council (ERC) to Professor Elvira Fortunato.
