NOVA SBE wins Primus Inter Pares Award  

José Salgado, who holds an undergraduate degree in Management from Nova School of Business and Economics and a Masters in Finance, is the winner of the 8th edition of Primus Inter Pares Award, presented on 27 June in Lisbon.

The winner studied at NOVA SBE and will now have the opportunity to attend an MBA in a prestigious school of his choice - INSEAD, IESE, Instituto de Empresa, ISCTE, ISEG or The Lisbon MBA (NOVA/Católica). This award also recognized two other students from NOVA SBE in the 2nd and 3rd places respectively. Maria Fernandes, with a NOVA SBE undergraduate degree in Economics and José Alguém, who holds an undergraduate degree in Management and a Masters in International Management also by NOVA SBE will both also have the opportunity to attend an MBA.

The Primus Inter Pares Award was launched in 2003 by Banco Santander Totta and the newspaper Expresso. With the support of McKinsey through the Manuel Violante Foundation, it has consolidated as an award of excellence, open to applications from students of Economics, Management and Engineering.

The five finalists of this competition go through several selection assessments that evaluate their academic skills and knowledge based on the criteria of leadership, initiative and teamwork.

The jury was chaired by the CEO of Impresa, Francisco Pinto Balsemão, and included the President of the Banco Santander Totta, Nuno Amado, and other distinguished personalities such as António Borges, António Vitorino and Estela Barbot.
