Ynvisible NOVA CEO

Ynvisible, a spin-out of the Portuguese company YDreams, created in January 2010 and focused in the development of new technologies in printed electronics, has listed its shares in the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

NOVA alumni, Inês Henrique, is the Ynvisible CEO, whose technology dates back to 2005 when YDreams joined research teams of NOVA Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia to develop electrochromic displays on different surfaces. This partnership still persists, namely with the FCT-UNL Photochemistry and Supramolecular Chemistry Group, directed by Professor Fernando Pina.

YD Ynvisible, S.A. was formally created in January 2010, listed in the Frankfurt Stock Exchange from February 9th, after raising capital from both Portuguese and foreign investors. The company’s goal is to become a world reference in the development of electrochromic displays printed in any surface or object, including paper, plastic, glass, ceramics, wood-based materials and cork. Ynvisible aims for mass production of new electrochromic displays that are flexible, printed, low power, with contrast-based visualization and low cost.

YDreams, parent company, is Ynvisible majority shareholder; other investors include SEMAPA and CUF, as well as members of the entrepreneurial association NERSANT. After entering Frankfurt Stock Exchange, Ynvisible will be supported by biw Bank für Investments und Wertpapiere and Silvia Quandt & CIE AG.
