CINENOVA 2020: films from around the world at NOVA FCSH

CINENOVA 2020
5 March 2020 to 7 March 2020
Local:
NOVA FCSH

The second edition of CINENOVA, the first Interuniversity Film Festival in Portugal, takes place between March 5 and 7, with free admission. This is an initiative of NOVA-FCSH and focuses on the relationship between Cinema-Knowledge.

During the festival, 38 films by university students from all over the world will be shown, some of them in a world premiere, competing for the awards for Best Film and Best Portuguese Film. Between Thursday and Saturday, always at Auditorium 1 from NOVA FCSH, there will also be two debates, a masterclass, and a welcome party. All the films, of 19 different nationalities, have in common the fact that they were made by university students and that they look at the relationship between Cinema and Knowledge.

The alienation of work, the refugee crisis, and gender equity are some of the themes in the 13 Portuguese and 25 international productions in the competition, chosen from more than 800 submissions for this second edition.
