NOVA University Lisbon will distinguish once again the best students of the 1st years of its Bachelors and Integrated Masters, by awarding a prize in the ammount of a tuition fee. The NOVA Young Talent Awards ceremony, previously designated as 'Bolsa Caloiros da NOVA', will take place on the 8th of June at 5.30 pm, in the Rectorate.
In this ceremony NOVA will distinguish the best students of the 1st year of each of the 37 Bachelor and Integrated Masters of NOVA on academic yeat 2016/2017 and the respective High Schools where students fisnished their secondary education, in recognition not only of the students' work but also the previous education they received.
Just as in the previous editions, an alumno from the University will make a speech. This year, this speech will be given by Cláudia Carvalho, former student of NOVA School of Science and Technology.
Cláudia Costa Carvalho (Lisbon, 1990) is a former student of NOVA School of Science and Technology, where she finished the Integrated Master in Industrial Engineering and Management in 2016. Currently she works at Group Jerónimo Martins, as a Category manager in the area of Bem-Estar of Pingo Doce chain of supermarkets.
Thorughout her path, she seeked to build a curriculum with several experiences, not only when she was still a student but also after finishing her Master. Among those experiences, she participated in volunteering activities, such as in JAP – Junior Achievement Portugal (2013) and Refood (since 2011), had several temporary jobs and participated in associativism initiatives, such as AIESEC - the largest students organization in the world - as well as internships, namely at Siemens (2013) and at Jerónimo Martins (2014 and 2015). It was precisely in one of this internships at Jerónimo Martins that Cláudia Carvalho build a career within this company, having gone through several positions till fetting to the position she currently performs.
