In recent years, much has changed in the digital and social environment in which children and young people are growing up. They have lived through a pandemic and ‘discovered’ generative AI tools. They frequently encounter ‘conspiracy theories’ and misinformation in their feeds and recommendations. They face the constant pressure to scroll and so many other challenges.
How do young people assess their digital skills?
How is their digital literacy?
What harmful content do they encounter and how do they react to it?
How do they envisage their digital future?
How important are age, gender and the social environment in which they live?
These are some of the issues that will be highlighted at the EU Kids Online Conference, taking place on 7 and 8 September in Auditorium B1 at NOVA FCSH.
