December is Orange Month, dedicated to raising awareness about skin. Within the scope of the EUTOPIA_HEALTH project, NOVA University Lisbon will host the EUTOPIA Health Day, this year devoted to research on skin.
During the afternoon of 16 December, the Health Day will feature transdisciplinary presentations showcasing Health-related research on skin, from electronics, cell biology, and medicine to social sciences.
In addition to these presentations, PhD students and early career researchers will deliver flash talks in a pitch format.
As a pre-event, the Science Café will focus on Awareness and Prevention of Skin Cancer, and will be held at Oliva @ Xuventude de Galicia, near NOVA Medical School, on 15 December at 3 pm. Researchers from NOVA will discuss the latest findings and prevention strategies, encouraging an open dialogue between scientists and the wider public in a relaxed and informal setting.
