SDSN Portugal is launching a series of seminars dedicated to Sustainable Development and Competitiveness, with the aim of analysing strategic areas for the Portuguese economy, in light of the current national context and the European Commission’s priorities for 2026, centred on promoting sustainable prosperity and competitiveness.

The first event, entitled the Spring Seminar, is organised in partnership with ADENE – the Portuguese Energy Agency. It will focus on the Energy sector and aims to open the debate on the urgency of new models for the national energy system. Each seminar will give rise to a document containing conclusions and recommendations, which will be sent to the Government, public institutions, business associations, and civil society organisations.

Officially launched in November 2023, SDSN Portugal is led by NOVA University Lisbon, in collaboration with CEiiA – the Centre for Engineering and Product Development. It is chaired by Júlia Seixas, NOVA’s Pro-Rector responsible for sustainability.
