Funded Programmes

NOVA is committed to internationalization. In this sense, it has sought to broaden its network of Partners through the establishment of cooperative relations in order to foster the scientific and cultural exchange and to develop internationalization opportunities for all its students, researchers, teaching and non-teaching staff.

Mobilities have been promoted through several calls for Mobility Exchange Programmes, namely: Erasmus + Europe, Erasmus + International Credit Mobility (ICM), European-Swiss Mobility Programme, Integrated Actions, Santander Luso-Brazilian and Ibero-American Scholarships, Fulbright Scholarships. NOVA also has an extensive experience as coordinator and partner in several former International mobility programmes established with HEIs from all over the world, through the participation in the Fellow-Mundus, BE Mundus and Sigma Agile Programmes.

Due to its internationalization strategy, NOVA has increased the number of fellowships available to researchers, teaching and non-teaching staff since 2015, impacting considerably the Outgoing Mobility indicators, namely in the forms of Staff Mobility for Training (STT) /Staff Mobilty for Teaching (STA). This growth has been largely triggered by participation in new consortia with other Portuguese HEIs.
