NOVA School of Science and technology, NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities, and NOVA Medical School were awarded the Green Flag for good ecological practices.
The Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) supports the various projects of ABAE (Associação Bandeira Azul Europa), which, since 1996, has developed the International Eco-Schools Program - with the aim of encouraging actions and recognizing the quality work developed by schools, within the scope of Environmental Education for Sustainability. These schools are symbolically assigned the Green Eco-School Flag.
The attribution of the Green Flag to FCT NOVA for the first time means that, together with NOVA FCSH and NOVA Medical School again distinguished, there are three NOVA institutions this year recognized for their good environmental practices. For NMS, this is the 5th consecutive time that the school has been awarded the Green Flag.
Recognizing its role as an agent of transformation, NOVA also intends to make a contribution to the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
