Registrations are open for the Impact@NOVA workshop on Intellectual Property in Health and Biotechnology

The Impact@NOVA workshops have recently been recognised as best practice by the European Commission.

The NOVA Impact office is preparing another series of ImPact@NOVA workshops, half-day events, oriented towards intellectual property (IP) issues, in which each event is dedicated to a specific theme. The initiative, recognised as best practice by the European Commission, was presented by Isabel Rocha, Vice-Rector for Research, Innovation and Value Creation, at the recent European Week for Knowledge Valorisation.

The next workshop - ImPact @ NOVA: Health & Biotech - already has a date: it will be on 4 July, 2023, between 10am and 1pm at the Rectorate of NOVA  University Lisbon, in Campolide. The aim is to gather the NOVA community associated with the areas of health and biotechnology, with emphasis on final year masters students, PhD students, post-docs, researchers and teaching and non-teaching staff, in order to raise awareness of the potential and legal procedures around intellectual property.

Besides making the community aware of the importance of IP in their works and projects, the event intends to elucidate about NOVA internal policies and procedures and, simultaneously, to provide information about best practices and other useful tips. For that, it is structured following a technical workshop approach where the discussion of practical cases is encouraged.

Places are limited and those interested should register by filling in this form.
