NOVA Sports athletes continue to excell in National University Championships (CNU's), having won new medals in several different sports in the last month.
The Surf's team headed to Faro on February 3, where the CNU of this sport took place. The nine athletes from NOVA in competition demonstrated a great team spirit, reaching the second place as a team. In terms of singles competition, the best position was achieved by student Inês Benedito, who reached second place in singles women.
Still on the domain of water sports, students Pedro Levi and António Ribeiro represented NOVA at the Bodyboard's CNU, which also took place in Faro, on February 4 and 5. After several representations of the University in University Championships of this sport, student Pedro Levi conquered the title of National University Champion of Bodyboard of 2017/2018.
NOVA Sports also participated in the CNU of Padel on February 7, in Oporto, with the biggest delegation in the competition, in a total of 16 students. NOVA was able to bring to Lisbon four medals, two of which are gold. Joana Brites and Bernardo Tomé reached first place in mixed doubles and Mariana Oliveira, again with Joana Brites, won the gold medal in women doubles.
