Under the motto "University of the Future, Universe of Opportunities", the announced EUTOPIA WEEK, considered a key moment in the construction of the European Universities Alliance of which NOVA is part, will take place between November 21st and 25th, at the University of Ljubljana, in Slovenia.
Acronym for European Universities Transforming to an Open Inclusive Academy, the EUTOPIA network is an inclusive community of universities sharing similar interests.
Through collaborative research, challenge-based learning of pedagogical excellence increased student and faculty mobility, and shared innovation, EUTOPIA seeks to address local and global challenges, contributing to a new model of higher education in Europe.
It was in June 2019 that EUTOPIA was chosen as one of the 17 winning alliances of the recent competition in the context of the European Universities Initiative launched by the European Commission. In all, it brings together Pompeu Fabra University-Barcelona (Spain), Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium), CY Cergy Paris University (France), Technische Universität Dresden (Germany), University of Gothenburg (Sweden), NOVA University of Lisbon (Portugal), University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Ca'Foscari University of Venice (Italy) and the University of Warwick (United Kingdom).
From now on it is therefore expected that conditions will be created for these academic communities to interconnect on their respective campuses, offering richer and more innovative curricula at different educational levels and promoting joint initiatives in research and innovation, with local and global partners.
With EUTOPIA MORE, NOVA participates directly in the activities developed by the alliance.
