NOVA fosters the broadening of PhD's skills

DocEnhance is a project that aims to increase the cross-disciplinary skills of doctoral students and their supervisors, in addition to a better connection with companies at the international level

DocEnhance (docenhance.eu) is the name of a project chosen by a group of European education institutions, of which NOVA is a partner, to respond to specific challenges in lifelong training - such as the need for innovation in research and training in doctoral programmes, together with those defined by the Modernization Agenda and the Agenda for New Skills, in the Horizon 2020 programme.

Furthermore, has in its DNA the promotion of a culture of cooperation between the academic and non-academic sectors, actively involving both stakeholders in all phases of the project.

To do so, a dynamic and adaptable platform for online collaboration is under development and seeks to collect all the training resources, freely available to all, and easily adapted to local needs. Moreover, everyone can contribute, since the final goal is to create a dynamic network that encourages the sharing of information.

NOVA is a partner in this initiative, together with a series of European universities (Aristotle University of Tessaloniki, European University Foundation, Fundacion Universidad-Enterprise, Karlstad Universitet, Maastricht University, Univerzita Mateja Bela, Tampere University, Technical University of Munich, The Artic University of Norway, Universidad de Alcalá, University of Chemistry and Technology of Prague, University of Ghana), and alongside other institutions, such as the Confederation of Norwegian Entreprise, the international start-up Tree of Science, the Addeco Group or the Innovation Executive Hub and the Brussels-based All Digital association.

The final event of the project takes place at NOVA, next December, in a face-to-face or online format.
