SCOPUS international database valorises NOVA's scientific production in the area of Social Sciences and Humanities

The publicationsPráticas da História: Journal on Theory, Historiography and Uses of the Past and Revista de Comunicação e Linguagens were accepted for indexation in the prestigious scientific database SCOPUS. A valorisation for the area of Social Sciences and Humanities of NOVA University Lisbon since the publications were highlighted by their quality and by the relevance of the published works for the international community.

The first journal is edited by the IHC – Instituto de História Contemporânea and by CHAM – Centro de Humanidades  while the second is published by the Instituto de Comunicação da NOVA – ICNOVA, all of them from NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities (NOVA FCSH).  Both publications are biannual and diamond open access, that is, free of charge for authors and readers, with no publication or access fees.

With the approval of this application, promoted by the Research Support Division of NOVA FCSH and by the Scientific Information Management Unit of NOVA's Rectorate, these journals are now part of the 15% of open access journals in the areas of Social Sciences and Humanities indexed by this scientific publications database.
