For the second consecutive year, EDUNIVERSAL has attributed to Nova School of Business and Economics the 5 Palmes distinction, confirming its category of "Universal Business School".
Nova SBE has therefore reinforced during the EDUNIVERSAL Convention that took place last week in Turkey its position among the top 80 business schools in the world.
This recognition of the school’s international reputation has a special meaning for several reasons:
Nova SBE is once again the only Portuguese business school among the best in the world – a position already achieved in 2013 – and also the only one with the category of "Universal Business School".
The EDUNIVERSAL ranking for best business school is the result of the recommendations from deans of 1000 business schools worldwide, compiling their answers to the question which school(s) would you recommend in each country? – and Nova SBE is by far the most recommend Portuguese business school. Since this is the only ranking that compare in a direct way the main business schools in each country, it seems even more relevant to highlight the differentiation of Nova SBE in relation to all the other national business schools, that never went further than joining the list for the 300 best business schools in the world. EDUNIVERSAL is the international ranking agency for higher education, and it ranks the main business schools all over the world – this year’s result underlines in that sense Nova SBE’s international reputation.
The Dean of Nova SBE, professor José Ferreira Machado, clarifies why this particular ranking is extremely important: "This is a very special ranking because it is based on the recommendations of our peers, people that are in charge of the best business schools in the world. And that leaves me with a great feeling of satisfaction… not only for the work that my team and I developed over the last 10 years, but also in a broader way, taking into consideration the reputation it brings to the country".
