NOVA climbed 41 places at QS World University Rankings

Universidade NOVA de Lisboa climbed 41 places in the QS World University Rankings 2014-2015 when compared to 2013-2014, and is now in the 312 position worldwide.

NOVA has steadily risen in this ranking since the 2011-2012 edition and occupies a position well above the global media.

Analysing the results of the 2014-2015 edition, it's possible to verify that, among the different criteria evaluated, NOVA leads, at a national level, in employers reputation, professor-student ratio and international faculty.

The results show the work developed by NOVA as an institution with internationally competitive research and teaching excellence, able to ensure high levels of professional success to its students.

Now in their 10th year, the QS World University Rankings 2014/2015 rank the world’s top 863 universities (out of over 3,000 considered). The QS World University Rankings are based on four key pillars, research, teaching, employability and internationalization and the methodology consists of six indicators: academic reputation (40%), employer reputation (10%), and faculty student ratio (20%), citations per faculty (20%), international students (5%) and international faculty (5%).
