NOVA Doctoral School participates in a Consortium of Doctoral Schools, which also includes University of Vienna, University of Zagreb, UNICA - Network of Universities from the Capitals of Europe -, University of Humboldt of Berlin, UNIMED - Mediterranean Universities Union -, Vrije Universiteit of Brussels, Universiade Comenius of Bratislava, Fundacion Universidad Empresa de Márcia (FUERM) and University of Tallinn.
This group of universities submitted the project PRIDE, acronym for "Professionals in Doctoral Education: Supporting Skills development to better contribute to an European knowledge society" to the "Life long Learning Programme - Erasmus Programme" and, as a result, they have received financing for this purpose.
Based on the principle that doctoral schools need human resources with differentiated professional skills, we intend to characterize and harmonize the training needs of these professionals, once identified by the participant Doctoral Schools, to design a training course for this target group and to produce a manual of good practices in this field. The duration of the project is two years and half.
