NOVA establishes collaboration protocols with José de Mello Saúde and Amélia de Mello Foundation

The partnerships aim the development of activities and projects in the social and scientific plan.

Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, José de Mello Saúde and Amélia de Mello Foundation established collaboration protocols in a ceremony that took place at the Rectorate of NOVA on December 12.

The protocols aim the development of several activities and projects that seek to support scientific research, the progress of medical sciences and to enhance human potential in the next four years. The protocols include donations to two schools, Nova School of Business and Economics and NOVA Medical School | Faculdade de Ciências Médicas.

The Rector of NOVA, Professor João Sàágua, presided the ceremony, referring that «the creation of value in the economical and social plan, resultant of the development of research and teaching, is a part of NOVA’s mission and, in that sense, we make a continuous effort in which partnerships with different players in the Portuguese society assume a fundamental role. In this context, the partnership celebrated with José de Mello Saúde and Amélia de Mello Foundation has a very special meaning».

Its mission includes the development of a research that is collaborative, responsible and internationally relevant, favoring interdisciplinary areas and including an oriented research to the resolution of problems that affect society.
