NOVA and Portuguese Engineers’ Association sign protocol to strengthen cooperation

NOVA University Lisbon, through its Faculty of Science and Technology (NOVA FCT), and the Portuguese Engineers’ Association (Ordem dos Engenheiros – OEng) signed this thursday, 27, a protocol to strengthen institutional cooperation between the two entities, aiming to promote the development of engineering education and practice in Portugal. This agreement establishes a privileged framework for pursuing shared objectives while respecting the statutory missions and legal obligations of each institution.  

The partnership foresees joint actions to disseminate activities, foster engineering education and recognise professional practice, as well as initiatives in areas such as education, training, innovation, research, qualification and knowledge. It also includes the creation of the Engineering Observatory, dedicated to studying and monitoring strategic topics for the sector.  

Through this collaboration, NOVA FCT and the Portuguese Engineers’ Association reaffirm their commitment to enhancing engineering, supporting national talent and attracting younger generations to this field, which is essential for the country’s development.
