NOVA promotes training for holiday camp monitors: registration now open

5 de February, 2026

There are decisive moments in any holiday camp: when a child needs support to settle into the group, when an activity requires clear structure and rules, or when it is essential to ensure safety without losing the fun and engaging spirit of the experience. In those moments, what makes the difference is the preparation and capability of the person leading and supporting the group.

This Holiday Camp Counsellor Training is an initiative open to the wider community, designed to train and certify counsellors for holiday camps. The programme aims to develop practical skills and the key attitudes required for the role, highlighting the importance of responsible supervision, effective communication and teamwork in settings with children and young people.

The training follows a blended format, combining online modules with one in-person day, making it easier for students and members of the public to take part while preserving a practical component and consolidating learning during the face-to-face session. Full information about the training is available on the landing page at https://xn--formaomonitores-okb1e.my.canva.site/.

Applications are open until the 30th April and must be submitted via the form
